Chicago White Sox  Chicago White Sox 3 – Minnesota Twins 4  (10 innings)

Highlights:  Hanser Alberto’s throwing error allowed the automatic runner to score from second base and the Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 4-3 in 10 innings on Tuesday night. With pinch-runner Willi Castro on second, Michael Taylor put down a sacrifice bunt. Alberto’s throw to first sailed and hit off the top of Taylor’s helmet, allowing Castro to score the game-ending run. Minnesota reliever Griffin Jax (1-1) worked a perfect top of the 10th, standing Chicago’s automatic runner at third. Read more at:  (AP)

Chicago CubsSeattle Mariners 9 – Chicago Cubs 14

Highlights:  Nelson Velázquez hit his first career grand slam in Chicago’s eight-run third inning, and the Cubs rallied for a 14-9 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night. Dansby Swanson went 4 for 4 and Trey Mancini homered as the Cubs won for the fifth time in six games. Mancini had three RBI, and Nico Hoerner had two hits and drove in two runs. Velázquez had three hits and scored three times in his first start since he was recalled from Triple-A Iowa on Monday. Chicago BlackhawksChicago Blackhawks 5 – Pittsburgh Penguins 2

Highlights:  Sidney CrosbyEvgeni Malkin, Kris Letang and the Pittsburgh Penguins have been an NHL playoff fixture for the better part of two decades. It’s a run that’s produced three Stanley Cups, a near miss at another and likely fast-tracked all three franchise icons to the Hall of Fame. And now, it may finally be over. Buddy Robinson and Andres Athanasiou scored 26 seconds apart in the third period and the lowly Chicago Blackhawks dealt the Penguins‘ playoff chances a significant blow in a 5-2 win on Tuesday night. Petr Mrazek made 38 saves, Robinson scored just the fourth goal of his nomadic career to give Chicago a late lead and Pittsburgh finds itself on the outside of the playoffs looking in with just one game to go.
