  Chicago Cubs Chicago Cubs 15 – Cincinnati Reds 7

Highlights:  Ian Happ had four RBI while Mike Tauchman and Cody Bellinger each drove in three to help the Chicago Cubs cruise to a 15-7 rout of the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday and earn a split of a critical four-game series between the contending divisional rivals. Chicago moved three games ahead of Cincinnati in the National League Central and currently holds the second NL wildcard. Chicago White SoxDetroit Tigers 3 – Chicago White Sox 2

Highlights:  Spencer Torkelson hit a tiebreaking solo home run in the seventh inning, Tarik Skubal worked seven solid innings and the Detroit Tigers ran their winning streak to four games with a 3-2 win over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. Torkelson turned on a full-count sidearm sweeper from Aaron Bummer with two outs, and launched it 436 feet into the bleachers in left field for his team-leading 25th homer that gave Detroit a 3-2 lead. White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson doubled to lead off the first for his 1,000th career hit, all with Chicago. He added a single and finished 2 for 4. Eloy Jiménez and Elvis Andrus had RBI for Chicago, which has lost three in a row and five of six. Chicago SkyNew York Liberty 86 – Chicago Sky 69

Highlights:  Breanna Stewart and Courtney Vandersloot had double-doubles and sparked a 22-0 run in the fourth quarter to lead the New York Liberty to their sixth straight victory, 86-69 over the Chicago Sky on Sunday. Stewart finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds and five assists for her 19th double-double of the season for the Liberty (30-7). Vandersloot pitched in with 20 points, 10 assists, six steals and five rebounds against her former team. Betnijah Laney had 17 points and Jocelyn Willoughby scored 10 off the bench. Kahleah Copper scored 23 points to lead the Sky (15-22), who entered play tied with Los Angeles for the final playoff spot.
